How realistic is the startup modeled? i remember seeing that there bell 212 and 412's were pretty cool at startup time, nice slow blade spoolup unlike most of the other Heli's produced for FSX

OK, I just purchased it, and am having a lot of difficulty starting it up.

I'm used to dealing with complex aircraft, and have followed the checklist to the T regarding the procedure, but the engine that I am starting first keeps shutting down on me.
Could someone lead me through a step-by-step manual startup procedure please? I haven't had this much problem with an addon in quite a while.

Figured it out.

I had my default flight set up as the default Cessna 172 in a cold/dark state.
Apparently with this helicopter, you are required to have a saved flight state with the engine running prior to loading this addon. I started the Cessna, switched to the 222, shut everything back down, and then the helicopter started up fine with the checklist procedures.
Will see if I can get away with doing that procedure, then saving the Bell 222 in the cold and dark state as my startup flight/default flight to see if it still works.

I had a dream last night that I was flying some helicopter in the left seat (like a real life dream) around Tauranga and it had that yellow and red paint on it. I think this was the helicopter I was flying. lol huh.gif Could be wrong but yeah...

i addressed the spot view at hover control, euroastar350 and his team suggested this

View distance is easily fixed...

1. Download RADItor @http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=RADItor
2. open the Bell 222's exterior MDL (Bell_222B_VIP_Ext.MDL)
3. click Read
4. set the radius to 8 meters (this is what I set it to)
5. Click write

Start FSX and the viewpoint should be fixed. Same fix has to be applied to the EMS MDL file (Bell_222B_EMS_Ext.MDL) if you want that one fixed.
