The incredible state of flight simulation

Postby cowpatz » Tue Jul 29, 2025 10:26 am

Fenix simulations have recently released their BFU (Big Fenix Update) for the whole of their A320 range.
Grab a coffee and watch this wizardry at work. Simply amazing (Even if Airliners don't float your boat). As you watch keep in mind that this is a free update.

I fly both the Fenix A320 and the FlyByWire A320.

I paid quite a bit for the Fenix ($100)?. Updates are a bit slow to come, but the Fenix is very, very realistic (I assume, considering I'm not an airline pilot).
It is it's own model, so is flyable on MSFS 2024.

The FlyByWire is based on the default A320 in FS2020 (from what I understand). Free to download. Updates are very frequent. But still waiting for it to be ported to FS2024, so that's the main reason I still have MSFS 2020 installed.

Of the two, as a basic Computer Pilot, I find the FlyByWire the easier to fly.

yeah watched that last night, jaw-dropping really, the 2024 release features look pretty impressive, cool what they've done w the walk-around too

I haven't bought any airliners yet for my 2020 install, this could be the one, and a fair price too dont yaz think?

Deeknow you won't be disappointed with the Fenix. It has amazing Simbrief and GSX interaction as well. If you have flown the FBW A320 then you will be on a head start with operating it.
Once you become familiar with the EFB, and it's integration with MCDU, you can be up and flying a session in a few minutes.
My go to airliners at the moment are the Fenix A320 and iFly 737 MAX. At present I'm tooling around in the recently released FlightFX Citation X (another goody and well priced).
