Mainfreight Boeing 767-200

Postby deeknow » Wed Jul 20, 2022 7:32 pm

OK so Mainfreight don't have an air wing (yet ^_^) but here's my stab at a basic livery that kinda reflects the ones worn on the trucks here in NZ and abroad. Have been having a real cargo/freight-fest of late in the 767 in various routes in the US and Europe but thought something other than the DHL out of Auckland was in order. Have been playing w a few different engine cover colour combos (see left and right views) and kinda leaning towards something like the red one (poss too loud and proud?)

In case anyone wants a play, the textures are for the SkySpirit2010 (formerly Project Opensky) 767-200 GE model (OSX762SFV5_CF6-80A) which will work in FSX and any P3D version (I'm using it in P3Dv5). I've paired it up with the CaptainSim 767-300v2 VC panel on the interior which works perfectly (lemme know if interested in the config for that)

Will drop some weathering on it at some point, but hard to know how much. The Mainfreight guys seem to keep their trucks so clean !!!!

That livery looks good although the red cowlings I'm unsure of.
Does the VC transplant also incorporate the flight management system as well? Is it buggy?
I assume that you did this as CS does not have a 200 cargo version?

Yeah I'm having second thoughts too about the red, will review before releasing

Yeah the FMS is perfect, works exactly as it does in the original CS model, only thing I haven't gotten working is the button click sounds but that's not a biggie.

And yes, they do have a Cargo version but its extra of course and is really just a skin and some internal views, the bloody Cargo doors aren't animated FFS ... that's why I reverted to using the POSKY model (plus they have a 200 version, dont ask me why but I just prefer the stubby look  )

Ooh, just noticed the flag on the starboard side needs flipping. Also gonna boost the Mainfreight main logo size a bit

Big guy ...you clever bugger.
Can't comment on the model, but the paint is amazing.
Personally, I'm not feeling the love from the red covers. The white with the red and blue + logo works for me.

Red cowling Begone !!! also added the rego on the front nose gear panel, added a surround to the main cargo door, boosted the size of the main fuselage logo, and a few other tweaks here and there...

Remember this from a year ago?!?!?!? well I finally got around to sorting out the night textures and some other stuff and released it on flightsim.com (for now)...
https://www.flightsim.com/files/file/21 ... ght-cargo/

If anyone is still running FSX or P3D and the SkySpirit 767 models would love to hear how you get on installing this

This has kinda motivated me to do some more paints now, will prolly port them to the CS767 model too (for P3D)
