130 paint problem

Need a bit of help here if possible.
I just grabbed a couple of RNZAF repaints for the cs herc .....did as i was told and placed them the variants folder, but the "ACE" is telling me it cant find the livery.cfg .
When i had a look ...there isnt one .

Both paints are from Dax and downloaded from here .

Old FS9 paint so What you need to do is create a folder texture.RNZAF1960 .. place the contents into that folder , then simply grab the config for that paint and place into the CS aircraft cfg folder re-number it from 'X' to the next number , save and away you go .

Make sure its labeled the same in the cfg. as your folder or it will not read it .

Great minds think alike Santa brought me the C130 for Chrissy among other things. I have just installed the NZ paints, I see on the NZFSIM site that there are DDS files available but the link is dead, can anyone shine a light on the availability and are they really any better than the BMP files?

Chris , search me at Flightsim.com , have all four sitting there and Dax , David Sweetmans are the best you can get

Im off there too Ian ... i cant get these older ones to work ....I'll call you if i get stuck (if ya dont mind)
That gray paint Ive got now , works ...but i think the big DS has a better one.

Well just as a bit of an exercise I have installed both the BMP and the DDS versions of the NZ repaints to compare quality and I can report that I see no difference at all
