Wings of Power B29 ?..

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby Adrian Brausch » Tue Dec 06, 2011 3:17 pm

Gidday I have been searching for hours today for a FSX or FSX usable B-29 Superfortress..,Wings of Power B29 is no longer available anywhere neither is the Halycon Media B-29 so my question is seeing as it is discontinued is there anyone here who has either(or both) that may be willing to send me a copy. As far as I am concerned if a product is no longer being sold anywhere then it is not piracy to copy it and send it to someone. I will pay for it if someone wishes to sell it to me..

Adrian.

Hmmm, the WoP '29 is semi-workable in FSX - no DX10 obviously, and there are a few gaps between various segments of the aircraft model (eg: you can see daylight around the wing root fairings and at points where a fuselage bulkhead is located in the external spot view)

I think it is still available as part of the WoP Firepower! pack for CFS, which includes the WWII Fighters models...

thanks bud,..yea I looked at the WOP firepower pack and the B-29 model looked simplified,..jaggy low poly looking nose and disk wheels,..don't think its the same model as CFS models need to be simpler in their design,..didnt know CFS 3 stuff could be used in FSX ?

Can't be too sure about the '29 but all of the WWII Fighters models (109,Spit,51,47 and Zero) are the same as the Firepower ones.
There was a thread in the A2A forums around the time FSX was released, with people asking if the WWII Fighters would work and Scott's answer was yes they would, as would the Firepower ones as 2004 models were ports from CFS3

Also, check out Harvey Norman - there is probably a very dusty WoP Heavy Bombers & Jets box set sitting in one of the branches...
That's where I got mine a looooong time ago (2005?) and a Saitek X-45 for $20 since it had been sitting around for so long
