Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

I was most impressed reading the posts regarding both ZK AHO and ZK CDK. The paint jobs are great especially the Beech AT11. However the model used for CDK is of an earlier 680 with rounded nacelles, the 680F had flatter nacelles (the undercarriage rotated to lie flat on retraction) similar to a Shrike Commander but without the pointed nose.
As I used to fly both these aircraft for a few years, I would love to see a proper ZK CDK especially in the earlier paint scheme as in the attached image. Note the narrow stripes on the fuselage are black as is the centre of the NZAM lgog.

How about a Monospar ZK AFF winkyy.gif

Hello ZKAHO , and Welcome to NZFF , we are so lucky to have artists like Markus to feed the us with so many historical paints , I think getting a General Aircraft Monospar maybe a little difficult , least in the right color s , actually form memory a photo showed one blue and silver doped , bitta research required .

But anyways just a warm welcome ,

Cheers , Ian

ST25v11 Download
Description:
FSX and FS2004 General Aircraft Monospar ST25 Universal, Ambulance aircraft ---- Version 1.1, modified to work with FSX as well as FS2004. By Jens B. Kristensen 2006 The G.A.L. Monospar was a series of ligth / utility aircraft built by General Aircraft Ltd in the 1930's. The ST.25 Universal was one of the last versions, with a twin tail and other improvements. This model portrays a particular aircraft, c/n 95, built in 1937 as an air ambulance. It served for two years or so in England as a company demonstrator registered G-AEYF, before it was sold to the 'Zonen' salvage corps in Denmark as OY-DAZ. It served with 'Zonen' until 1950, being in storage 1943-47 because of a shortage of spares. OY-DAZ still exists today, it is owned by the Danish National Museum of Technology in Elsinore (Helsingør in danish). It has been displayed in various places around Denmark over the years. I saw it in the 'Egeskov Veteranmuseum' when I was a boy, and again in 2005. It was hanging from the roof, so I couldn't get a look at the interior :-( . It has now, returned to Elsinore. The Monospar had manual wing folding for hangar storage, and the model supports this - you must assign a key (such as shift+F) to the wing fold event in Flight Simulator to activate it.

Well, repainting is always some sort of compromise (just like scale modeling):
If the model you're dealing with doesn't match a 100%, it's up to the repainter to decide about concessions. And although Milton Shupe gave us a plenty of outstanding Aero Commander variants, there's no 680F version in sight.
In my eyes, the rounded nose of the 680S I used for my two CDK paints (1977 and 2010 variant) seemed more distinctive than the nacelles's shape:

The AS500S Shrike (in abandoned CDK colours) comes up like that:

Unfortunately, the texture mapping isn't the same on both models, so the textures aren't interchangeable...

That's very exciting for me to hear! ohmy.gif
I couldn't do any repaint without useful information or images (like the one you've posted), supperted by others.
Interesting to see the rego on the wing's upper side for instance - didn't know this yet.

I think it's time for some kind of poll here:
On which model (680S or 500S) would you all like the early red striped CDK paint (shown above) to be executed?

Any suggestions welcome!

Cheers,
Markus.
