Yeh this plane does hold a piston engine speed record does it not? An incredible aircraft. All of vertigo studios planes are exceptionaly detailed. I bought there curtiss hawk and even the cooling fins on the engine cylinders are fuly modeled yet is very good on fps. The Bearcat should be a ton of fun as its nearly twice the speed. I can only dream of an accusim version of this plane. That and the big brother the Grumman Tigercat. OOh now that would get my heart pumping.

Nice plane - great screenies smile.gif, was going to get it last week, but the Classic hangers FW-190 late variants won the day.
Then this week I thought yes the bearcat...................... urmm no ended up with the VRS Superbug (Super Hornet) WOW what a simulation that bird is.

What!? Ian getting his history wrong? winkyy.gif laugh.gif
At the very least in terms of 'last aircraft types', the prototype Hawker Sea Fury first flew 10 days after the first flight of the Bearcat winkyy.gif (according to Wiki anyway)
The Twin Mustang also flew later, though not technically a new plane I guess hehe

Ohhhh I misread you! I thought you meant "not just the last Grumman prop aircraft, but the last prop fighter"
Maybe we'll catch you out one day, I'll keep looking! winkyy.gif biggrin.gif Cheers
Looks like a beast. I'll never fly it so again I'll just enjoy your pics
