Captain Sims Boeing 707

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby Chairman » Fri Aug 20, 2010 6:06 pm

I expect the Ariane 737 would be up there ... Would be interesting to know though ! Presume you're just talking software add-on aircraft ?

Erm, which I own BTW and never use...yes, software.
EDIT: FS9 version which was perhaps a bit less than the current 85 pounds!

breath of life left in the just-about-to-become-obsolete flight simulator.

Heck! its only money and the way i knocked myself around this last week , hells 'you only live twice' unsure.gif now where did i hear that !

The Most Expensive Package , you may be right Charl with the AlphaSim C17 .. really very basic for its NZ81.$s , least the Captsim shows class and that,s every model .

Pocket change. The Majestic Q300 Training edition is 199 euros, that's between NZ$ 340 and 350 depending on who you ask.

Top that !

Ian - love that shot of Equatoriana! That's the livery of the 707 aircraft that we flew into Quito on in 1979! Ah, memories... drool.gif

John, Oprah, meet Ian...Captain of the Sim.
Whew that is a beautiful model...I am so tempted.
Early SAA livery won a design award, rightly so.
Was Ecuatoriana the first edition of the "vomit Comet"?? winkyy.gif

Pete , This 707 is a real joy , the noise - the operation off the auto pilot , smile.gif i was starting to fly it like the "vomit Comet" since i crashed every thing last week the yoke needed to be recaliabrated .

Charl , many photos show the old PAN AM parked up in Auckland , many other paints with this and they are all highly detailed , yet to explore the cabin and views , typical CS quality . thumbup1.gif

Given CS has - how can I put this - less than 100% commercial bedside manner rolleyes.gif it's a tribute to how good their models are, that they are still in business!
More pictures please, PanAm especially.
I may still have a little 45rpm 7 single vinyl disk, imprinted with a photo of Jet Clipper 101, which is a recording of radio chatter into Idlewild International Airport.
You have to be of a certain age, even to know where that is...
