FSX Payware

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

I love long hauls so most of the time I'm in the PMDG 744 or Level-D 767.

But occasionally (a lot lately) I love to do very short hops into small air fields. My tool of choice WAS the realair simulations marchetti F-260. I have since purchased the realair simulations Duke B60 V1.5 and just love it to bits. I have now clocked over 80 hours in it and STILL love it to bits. The Virtual cockpit is the most realistically detailed VC I have seen yet!
The VC is just perfect for trackir and the VRinsight mode contol panel interfaces perfectly.

I'd love to hear what your fav light aircraft payware is and why?

Lotus Aero L-39 for just about everything (neat little features like icing on windscreen, intersting failures, great FDE, nice VC, total immersion etc), Sibwings Bird Dog in patched version for fantastic VC and exterior detail, the Carenado Cessna 185 and Beech Bonanza for been solid models on most things, Ants Tiger Moth (its free!) has many features you dont see on a lot of payware aircraft and the Realair Spitfire (sound and exterior modelling).

Naki, Your'e obsessed with that Lotus!
Well my favourite aircraft is the Beechcraft Bonanza 33 from Carenado, excellent VC and exterior and interior model with realistic handling.
Also great for bush flying - since i aquired VOZ 1.8 im exploring the country, also in the middle of a flight down the east coast of Australia.

Im much the same as you Paul (you got me into the L-39). I havent tried the moth you mentioned yet. And i would have to add the C/S C-130 series.....a bit frame hungry on my machine...but a magic sim.

Captainsim LC-130, IRIS's FSX F-14 Tomcat and Alphasims's Caribou (i know i know,..but its cool,..ugly but cool.. )..oh and Realair Spitfires,..sound was thin sounding more like an electric mixer than a massive V-12 but models are outstanding..

Mine would be the Virtavia BN-2 Islander.

The VC shakes when you takeoff!
