I know it's not a Yak 40 (it's a YAK 42 ), but this model is very detailed and freeware here. You can find it on the left side of the page, the fifth plane from the top. Hope you'll like it

Samdim's aircraft are amazing although they do require a bit of learning - I remember spending a good 15 minutes a while back trying to work out how to start the engines on their TU-134. laugh.gif Once you've gotten the hang of them though, they are some of the most rewarding FS addon aircraft to fly.

Actually just to amend my previous post, I must have been wrong when I mentioned the TU-134, since Samdim's 134 hasn't been released yet. It must have been a different one.

Maybe you were thinkin of the ProjectTupolev 154??? ... awesome model, pretty full on panel, bit of a mission to master.

No, I checked, there is a 134 available on the Flightsim.com file library which would be the one I was thinking of. (the ProjectTupolev 154 is pretty darn good though as well!)

I LOVE those old Russian birds. I reckon it'd be great fun to setup a virtual-airline that flew only the old iron-curtain gas-guzzlers, TU134s, TU154s, An-12s, Yak42s etc. Of course you'd only operate in and out of airports that still allow them (which I spose means Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa). When flying to the states or Europe you could maybe lease some long term desert stored MD11s or MD80*s with hush-kits.

Name for the airline? "Carbon Crunchers" ... "Diesel Air" ... "Eco Vikings" .. or something equally politically incorrect. pirate.gif
