You can't really compare a product which sells around 2 million copies with something which sells a couple of thousand at the most -- apples and oranges, really.
But you can compare it with other addons, and with a MRRP of NZ$89.99, it is certainly dearer than most downloads, but a lot of people like to buy boxed products locally, so I assume they are happy to pay the extra.
I know how much you need to add to the cost price if you import boxed addons for sale here in NZ -- by the time you include the shipping, add a fair markup plus GST, you are looking at quite a price.

I just purchased the FSX Switzerland X package (4 DVDs so too big to download) which was 129 Euros excluding postage. That works out at NZ$269, my dearest ever software purchase.

That said, I will be posting a few screenshots shortly, so that you can see what that gets you.

I try and post any add ons I see. just seems this tiger is on quite a bit.

$70 seems to be alot for tiger moth, now i have heard really good things about it, but $70.00??? although i see the now reserve is now $50.00

sorry, but i don't think i could ever get away with spending $269.00 on one add-on, just think of what you could gett... hmmm

I have the Tiger Moth - the download version - yea its pushing it a bit to say its worth $70 but its not bad.
