Because I know this airfield is just a hotbed of sim activity... I have decided to unleash FoxpineX upon the simming world!
Basically, I wanted to learn how to do photoreal textures for sceneries... I needed a nice small project to start with and my first light aircraft flight was out of Foxpine (or Pine Park as it was known in those days)... it is also the closest strip to my hometown (Levin) that is listed in the AIP... so Foxpine it was!
Again, this is an example of how easy it is to create your own airfields... I probably spent more time writing this post, the readme.txt, taking the screenshots, uploading the screenshots and uploading the .zip file to skydrive than I did making the scenery! (ok that is a bit of a lie... I spent ages taking all the shadows off the photoreal pics!
)
You can download the package here: FoxpineX ~4Mb (skydrive.live.com)
As they say, "A picture says a thousand words"... so here are some screenies:
TopDown shot, showing the extent of the photoreal...

Looking across the airfield along runway 27...

Looking back in the other direction along runway 09...

Looking across the scenery from the North West...

Enjoy!
