MilfordSoundX v2 - disappearing runway?

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby HardCorePawn » Fri Apr 11, 2008 10:10 am

I have still been unable to replicate the 'disappearing runway' issue that some users have had with my Milford scenery due to:

1. Having no time due to the amount of real world flying I have been doing lately
2. Being slack

Unfortunately, my usual 'computer' time (evenings and weekends) has been taken up with flying recently... evenings with night flying which is seriously cool btw! Night Scenics over the Auckland CBD are truly amazing... and weekends with trying to get all my cross-countries done... one more (Solo High Level) to go!

However, one user has told me that he realised he had been flying without the FSX patch for the RBE Topo... once he installed this, it corrected the problem. If you are using MilfordSoundX and have had the issue with the runway disappearing, make sure you have the FSX patch for the Topo installed.

If you still have the problem with the FSX Patch installed, let me know... and I'll try to find some time in the next couple of days to check it out.

Where do I find the FSX patch for the Topo? I can only find patches for the roads and rivers. If I use that patch, then all my water disappears.

I do have the disappearing runway bug

Thanks for that. I tried using that Roads and Rivers patch, and it turned the water around the coast to sand!

I'll post a screenshot when I get home tonight.
