Afcad Prob

I know someone will know this but I am at present re-doing my EGHP and have built the
new rwy's done the flatten, exclude but when I open up FS all the a/c have sunk a little,about 1/2 way down the wheels.
Answers on a postcard much appreciated.

try rasing the Airport level up a lil bit

If you've checked that the airport level and runway levels are the same and that doesn't help, try dropping a copy of the AFCAD into Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World\scenery\

what does this do ???
im having alot of trouble with the hamz afcad once i took the grass out the whole thing was little mountians over the runways ,ive been spending alot of time in this area ,trying to work out how it all works and im getting to the point of have the dam green grass and get over it ...
ive tryed the flatten ,laying this and that and there are just not enough info around to tell you how to work the software ,,
like afcad wheres the tutorials for it ????
or the flatten wheres the tutor for that ???
just seems like you have to ask people on forums all the time about it ,thats if they want to tell you or answer you ...

Apparently it sets the airport level from a higher priority dataset and so stops AI from sinking.

Mike, theres a 95 page tutorial that comes with the download of AFCAD version 2.21.
Thers also available another tutorial by David "Opa" Marshall called "AFCAD - Some Tips and Tricks".

Thanks lawrie ive got a older version of it so i never seen any tuts with it and just leap into it ,,
now im proberly going to have a good old 95+pages read "something i hate "

Dont worry mate, you will figure it out very easily. There are quite a number of uses for AFCAD, its really a surprising and usefull and versatile tool to use for a number of things.

Thanks lawrie you have pointed me in the right direction ,
I found the tips and tricks were the most helpful to me and in the first part of it was the answer i needed and i now have a false flatten needed .
cheers again now i can start laying down the buildings again as this was bugging me to no end
