does anybody know by any chance if the FS Scene for Australia & New Zealand FSX ver. (releasing soon I think) is a good payware for ground textures? ..... does anyone know if the older FS9 version works with the Red baron 20m mesh?

Yes, the FScene textures work fine with the RBE 20m mesh and NZ Topo. I have both RBE products, and also FScene1 Europe and Africa, FScene2 North and South America, FScene3 Asia, Australasia and New Zealand installed in FS9.
FScene3 does wonders for the ground textures in various parts of NZ, and also changes the placement of a lot of the autogen town buildings, and trees etc.

I agree with Lawrie. I have been really happy with FScene.

I have the free season files for Europe and North & South America that Ruud released as a birthday gift to the FS community. These inspired me to splash out on a full set for Aus and NZ.

My entry in this month's screenshot competition shows FScene textures in FS9.
