Auckland 2005

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby Ex ANZ Eng » Sat Aug 11, 2007 7:09 pm

Hi Guys,

can anyone tell me how to merge the Auckland 2005 in with Robins Real NZ scenery ?
All I want to do is use the airports in Robins scenery as a fill in till he releases his project.

Just install auckland2005 as normal, then in the Auckland2005 scenery file delete the bgl files you don't need.

Its been a while since I have used this scenery but from memory just install Auckland2005 as normal then run fs and slew around Auckland and find the scenery that has doubled up, taking note. Then just open up the Auckland2005 scenery file and look at all the bgl files, most are named after the scenery they show in fs so it is quite easy to go through and delete them. I don't know how professional this process is but thats all i did and everything looked sweet. I hope this helps.

or you could down load "auckland_real_nz_airports.zi"p from Avsim that is a modification of Auckland 2005 to fit Robin's scenery.

Yes, Naki is correct.
Download ....... auckland_real_nz_airports.zip from Avsim.
Rob Diebold extracted the airports only for Auckland 2005 to fit into the RealNZ Auckland City scenery.
There are no double ups of scenery items, and it would certainly save you all the time and trouble of going through the Auckland 2005 scenery and trying to identify which bgl files to remove.
