hi, with the jets/airbridge parking, they used to park on about a 25-30o angle to the left when parking. well that was what happened when i was working the ground in 2000. all a/c parked that way. just an observation, it is looking great thou!!!

In the next couple of days i will be uploading Napier Airport NZNR, which includes many custom buildings and a photoreal type terminal, to be followed closely by a companion scenery, Sea Port of Napier.

I got lots of AI Daks flying all over NZ in National Airways, Mt Cook Airlines, Pionair liveries, and of course, ZK-DAK.
The NAC and Mt Cook Daks are going to be a part of the Retro-AI Project packs, yet to come.

Yes Paul, that IS an AI version of ZK-SKY !! The Skybus Viscount 802, and National Airways Viscount 800s will feature in coming packs of the NZ Retro-AI project.

The scenery is not meant to be 100% totally accurate, but rather to give a good feel of what the place is like.
It was built using the limited amount of basic tools at my disposal, and also mostly from memory of the place.
I was not happy with the only 3 freeware versions of NZHN to ever have been done, so as its my old hometown (spent 33 years there), i decided to have a go myself at a scenery. Hamilton has recently undergone a huge upgrade, and construction work is still going on around the terminal carpark area, so this scenery is before the current upgrade. I am treating it as a stopgap scenery, untill someone that i know has finished building a scenery with all photoreal buildings etc.

yup i agree with you there, only having worked on the ground crew for a few months, but i hated the other versions out there, didn't do justice at all, same with napier, the other version was great when the old terminal (also when i was working the refueling in napier) but as i worked through the new terminal ( for a rental car company) i wanted a new version, which i am pleased to say yours will be great!!

Up until i put together the Napier scenery i am about to upload, i was using Andrew Mckee's rather nice FS2002 version of Napier Airport. I did make some modifications to it, so that it fitted into FS2004 better.
Also, goff_nznr did an EZ Scenery version of Napier earlier this year. DId you try that one ??
That was the one that inspired me to build what im doing now for Napier.

nope, i was using the Andrew mckee (same last name as me, no relation thou) version, didn't realize there were other versions out there, mind you when i was there last so much had changed from when i was on the tarmac i almost didn't reconise the gate patterns!!

I got your NZHN airport (already up on AVSIM)
And have confirmed that it is not compatible with FS2002 unfortuntley

Sorry about that Kelburn.
I knew it wouldnt be backwards compatible with FS2002. FS8 doesnt use XML or AFCAD2.
Guess you will have to build your own, or buy FS9, its real cheap to buy now that FSX is out.

Ooooh! I have an official NAC Timetable (Feb 28 to April 16 1955) if you want to create correctly scheduled NAC DC3 AI flights. PM me if you're interested.

Yep; I too have some Daks shuttling around NZ in NAC and SPANZ liveries (courtesy of California Classics).
