We’re excited to announce that NZA Simulations – NZMO Te Anau Airport (Manapouri Region) for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now in the final stages of development!

This project has been more than two years in the making and spans an incredible 5,000–6,000 km², making it our largest scenery release to date. With the help of local helicopter tour operators, we’ve been able to capture authentic reference material from some of the most remote and breathtaking parts of Fiordland, delivering a truly immersive flying experience.

The scenery features a diverse range of locations to explore, including:

1 Airport – NZMO Te Anau-Manapouri Airport
1 Airstrip – Monowai Airstrip
7 Heliports – including Luxmore Hut, Fiordland Medical Center, and The Blanket Bay Hotel Pad
1 Float Landing Pad – Cascade Cove
1 Closed Airstrip – NZTZ Farm Airstrip (included and marked as closed)

On top of that, you’ll find 36 custom Points of Interest (POIs), such as mountain huts, cruise terminals, iconic landmarks, and the Manapouri Power Station, all crafted to bring the Fiordland region to life.

While we don’t have a confirmed release date just yet, rest assured this will be a major expansion pack for the community.

This will be for both 2020 and 2024 versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator. It will be available on all supported game platforms.

For now, enjoy these brand-new preview screenshots!

Very nice….and just when I thought I’d let my credit card cool off.
If purchased for 2020 will this cover 2024 as well or is it a separate purchase?

The NZA Wanaka scenery was as much about the environs as the airport itself.
Loved it and often go there just to have a look.
This one fills in the Southern W coast experience, and I will save up my Milk Money in anticipation

EDIT:
Assume you won't have us trip over the Topgunsi.com huts 'n things down there?

Yes the plan is to have this as a 2020/2024 bundle as we have done for others.

There will be a point where we will have to change that because of the time involved, however now isnt that time.

That is very much appreciated thanks. I have a sizeable investment in 2020 and for me 2024 has not matured enough yet to make the shift. I have vowed not to purchase any future add on unless it can be used in 2024 with no additional cost (as I guess a lot of other simmers have too).

Looks like my new Piper Pacer and the helicopter fleet are going to get a good workout soon! Can’t wait to cruise over the lakes, mountains, and remote airstrips in New Zealand – exactly the kind of flights that are fun and let you really enjoy the scenery.
