[Released] NZMC - Mount Cook | NZA Simulations

Postby HybridNz » Mon Oct 18, 2021 10:41 am

NZA Simulations is excited to announce we have taken on two more developers.

A name that needs no introduction from Milan, Italy, is Sergio Del Rosso who bought you amazing freeware such as the very popular NZMF Milford Sound and LSZS Saint Mortiz to name a few.

From Hamburg Germany, Lukas Christiansen also joins the ranks of the NZA development powerhouse bringing a vast work of experience in 3d modeling and 3d scanning technology.
We cant wait to show you what both have been cooking up for you.

Sergio has been working up a storm and NZA will be releasing NZMC - Mt Cook under the proline banner.

More Development screenshots to come!!

There are lots of areas to land around the huts with either helicopters or planes, we've taken a 'what fun can you have' approach to designing this. The Medical center at Twizel was a last-minute entry into the scenery and was added when Hype Performance group released the HEMS version of the H145 so it is really a playground now for all things flight.

Nice, its a very special spot.

If I want to buy MS2020, then NZA Simulations is MAJOR reason why!!!

The Mount Cook scenery is PURE AMAZING and utterly realistic.

Cannot wait to buy MS2020 in 2 or 3 years. Just waiting for Microsoft to perfect MS2020 and make it bug and problem free.

I gotta say I've been happy so far, even on my aged rig. The only real issue I had was CTD on the most recent update when REX WeatherForce needed an update; other than that, pretty smooth sailing.
Certainly happy enough with the move from P3D (4.5 being my last installed).

I've been pretty happy too. Still run XP for rotary but it's been fun doing IFR, exploring bits of the world in MSFS

Care to list configuration of your rig that you say is aged but can run MS2020 well, please?

Corsair H80i water cooler, Intel i5-9600K @ 3.7GHz, Kingston HyperX Predator 4x8GB DDR4 3200MHz, Asus Prime Z370-P II, Gigabyte GTX1080 8GB, EVGA SupeNova 750WG3 80+ Gold PSU, Samsung 128GB 840 Pro SSD, Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD, Seagate Barracuda 3TB SATA3, LG GH24NSB0 24x DVD writer black, Cooler Master N600 case, Logitech LS21 speakers, Win10 Home.
I also use TrackIR and a Saitek hardware - pedals, TPM, radio panel, switch panel, multi panel and trim wheel. And a Desktop Aviation parking brake. Basic Logitech 3D Pro joystick..

I think it might be around 4-5 years old now. I need to do an upgrade when VR meets my personal high requirements! But now now it is ok - running out of space on C: (the 128GB) but otherwise it is doing ok.
I don't have MSFS at full detail and in really heavy clouds I get some slow downs. I haven't tried really busy, scenery heavy areas as I fly almost solely low level, slow GA in New Zealand. As far as addons; a few GA aircraft, and a good few NZ airports, including the major ones released by the likes of FlightBeam and NZA Simulations. A few freeware ones as well of smaller airfields.

For that, like I said, it runs well enough for me and I certainly have no plans to revisit P3D.
If you have the disk space, I suggest try it and see.

Easiest thing is to get a Game Pass trial for $1 and try it out. It'll take a few days to explore all the options and get it running the way you want and then it'll take a few more to set up the controls and get used to the view commands. It took me about the same when I went from FSX to XP and again when I first got into MSFS. You really need to explore the Sim when you start out though to give it a chance because it's a VERY different experience to what you're used to

Purchased and downloaded today and made a first discovery tour, only now the main airport NZMC, see my shots in the screenshots-forum. Further exploration of the area and the NZGT airfield will follow later.
