Default coastlines still showing after activating NZtopo in FS9

Hi there, i'm hoping somebody here might help out here with a problem I'm having with installing Christian Stock's NZtopo in FS9 on a new desktop PC with Windows 10. I'm building a new FS9 starting from scratch and its going well. I started to install Christian Stock's NZ topo from the CD that I've had for years, but it seems to be corrupted and wont run. I can see the contents but when I run the installer it hangs partway through and stops. Seems that the CD surface may be damaged and is causing the hangups. I tried the same on an old PC with windows XP and the same thing happens. The contents in the CD are all visible though. I'm just wondering how the files could be recovered from a damaged CD?

To get around that I copied over the NZ topo files from FS9 on my old PC with windows XP to the new FS9 on my new PC with Windows 10, and activated them, but when I went to check it out in game, the default coastlines were still there along with the new coastlines from NZtopo. I'm thinking are there some default scenery files somewhere that need to be removed to make the default coastlines disappear?

I have FSX as well and will be building that up too, but I still fly in FS9 a lot as I have so much NZ scenery in it.

See: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4138 Post # 9 by Snowman. The default files have not been deactivated which is why they are showing up. Snowman's post gives a list of the files that need to be deactivated (use the extension .bglx).

Hope this helps.
