Christchurch scenery & getting decent AI

Hi everyone.

I've just reloaded FSX after a few years away.

Decided to give VLC a go - and so far I must admit I am very impressed with the ability to follow roads etc and feel like I am flying above areas I know.

Being ChCh based I am keen on getting a more realistic ChCh airport. I can't see anything around for FSX?

I used to use WOAI. At the moment my main requirement is just getting some realistic AI flying around NZ (commercial flights). I see ORBX have free Aussie & NZ AI packages - but will they work without using their other products.

Sorry to leap on for the first posting with questions. I should also add I have enjoyed following the forums over the last few weeks since I fired FSX up again

Cheers

Col

Welcome, Col.
Not too sure what people are using for NZCH at the moment, but yeah, an up-to-date airport is well over-due...
You can certainly use FTX AI without having to have any Orbx scenery, and I'd recommend it -- this is a great way to get a good selection of local AI around NZ. That's all I use at the moment.

I had one stop by yesterday working on this issue , more for the Mil ramp and season flights , as for airlines best to stick with FTX-AI.
