how to alter airports to work with Orbx

Hey guys.

I'm at work at the moment and I'm pondering to myself. How hard would it be to tweak a custom airport to work with Orbx SI.
You see I love my orbx NZ but some of their default airports are a bit...meh. A few years back a chap released a very good rendition of NZNV. I tried my hand at replacing AFCAD's but the runways would bleed together and the orbx airport objects would still show through. Would anyone be as kind to give me some tips on how I could work on this?

I was talking about this very thing this afternoon , I've done it for two scenery's and airports , corrected levels ... primary airports first ... fix the mish mash mesh with our own Service Pack the will work both with VLC and ORBX .

This depends on whether you want to just use the files you have already, or whether you want to do some adjusting yourself, using at the very least the FSX SDK and/or Airport Design Editor or equivalent.
I can then give some pointers or how to do it either way.
