There is supposed to be an aerator behind that shed, but only a bit of it showed up. ohmy.gif
Might be reduced to reading the instructions. sad.gif

It's all SonnyJ's fault for making that list!! http://nzff.org/forum/index.php?s=&sho...t&p=8343897

There was no Ruawai in my FSX VLC, so in a moment of madness I decided to make one. At least NZRW was in the AIP.
Limestone Downs was downgraded, so it is not in the AIP anymore, but it shows in Googie Earth and I got some other info around the 'Net...
http://www.topomap.co.nz/NZTopoMap/nz53551...e-Downs/Waikato

http://www.parakaiairfield.co.nz/airfields.shtml
"Limestone Downs Airfield: Private airfield 57 miles south of West Auckland at S37º 28.8' E174º 45.1', five miles south of Port Waikato town, and one mile inland of the coast on the top of a plateau. (view). There are two runways, the short grass one is too short for anything much bigger than a Bantam and only the long limestone runway is usable. From unconfirmed Google Earth measurements the airfield is at 600ft altitude with the white limestone runway 470m long aligned 01/19."

Ahaaaa,............ Now that you mention the name "Limestone Downs", that makes a bell ring in the foggy and cobwebbed recesses of my worn out old brain.

Look forward to the end results of your labours. You did a nice job on your little Ruawai scenery smile.gif

Success in working a problem out in a scenery you are building is always a good feeling.

Looking good so far................. smile.gif

Well, here it is as it stands now - the airstrip with its very distinctive set of associated buildings. The 'works' is far too remote from anywhere to be a water treatment (sewage) plant so I assume it is some sort of silage or liquid manure facility. I had to build my own aerator, using SketchUp.
I need a decent texture for all the stuff being stirred around in the aerator. The Sketchup 'Streamwater_shallow' texture looks reasonable but it just tiles everywhere.

How do I make a texture that will cover the whole contents of the tank, without tiling?

Mike maybe its one off those round cow milking buildings ? I think they even rotate - load a cow from the cow full paddock the machine quietly rotates to an entrance were the moo moo is let out again in another pasture to reload ?

laugh.gif Not a rotolactor, definitely a sludge tank - but there would be some other bovine output involved...

Don't suppose you recall that line from the movie "The Longest Day" Richard Burton walking into the mess and saying "Pint of sludge Ted" .. wonder if that's were they they got the saying from ?

This was under my neighbour's house, after the 2011 flood - 9 inches of flood mud ohmy.gif
I cropped out a nice dark patch and now I've got a nice even colour in the aerator. smile.gif

In sketchup, select the face, right click and choose 'edit texture' (Or similar, I can't remember it off the top of my head)- Then pull the green pin out to scale the texture and reduce the tiling effect.

Thankyou, Timmo - I was sure there was something like that. thumbup1.gif
