If the scenery dose not have an installer , generally you simply select the the from your addon scenery folder and delete , some may have an install but do not come with the uninstall so go to your control panel .. you can uninstall from there ... ORBX is one that requires you to manually uninstall , damn near quicker to re-format your H/Drive ... TRUE ! rolleyes.gif

Ian to the rescue once again. Thanks. I installed RealNZparaparaumu and the houses are off the ground, so it looks like I made an error with installation, so I wanted to get the uninstall right. So far I have just deleted the area.

I'd always recommend that you first check the instructions which came with any addon before uninstalling anything. With Paraparaumu, there is one extra file installed, which is mentioned in the manual, so you'll need to delete this as well.

Yes. I did read that and will follow the instructions. Wonder why the houses near the runway are off the ground. Any suggestions?. Probably not installed properly due to my now inexperience.

That is normally a mesh issue BUT, on installing a flight from a specific airport it may take some time to read it sometimes, as it loads into the cache and run regularly things will start to smooth out - again this is or has been a very typical MS-FSX issue.

One other setting you may want to look at is the Mesh complexity and resolution , generally I have the Complexity at 100 and resolution at 10 meters (recommend default) tho best to adjust that in my case i regularly tweak that depend on scenery build or loading, but general rule 100X10 reset and load or create a flight from that airport and it should look good.

Yes, Ian makes some good points. Generally, though, elevation issues are normally caused by a conflicting airport facilities file. I'd do a search of your FSX installation (just open up your fsx folder in Windows Explorer, and type into the search box) for 'NZPP' and see if any other files are installed. Let me know if you find anything.

However bear in mind that the installer does put a file in Scenery\World\Scenery, and this doesn't count as a duplicate.

See the following:
NZppreadme.txt
ParaparaumuNZPP.bgl
NZPPairport.BGL
NZPPairport2.BGL
NZPPmin.BGL (I haven't deleted that as yet)
So far I have deleted area in Settings scenery and nothing else.

No problem there -- I can't see anything which doesn't belong.
Just a bit of info on the NZPPmin.bgl file in Scenery\World\Scenery -- this is required whenever the airport elevation is changed. If you delete the NZPP scenery, then this would need to be removed as well, otherwise the default airport elevation won't be correct. But if you have Real NZ Paraparaumu installed, then it will have to be installed to get the correct elevation.
It would be good to see a screenshot of the problem just so I know what isn't working properly.
Just to make it clear, do you have both FSX SP1 and SP2 installed?

After installling ScreenHunter to upload a screenshot the problem seems to have resolved itself without any help from me. At least I have learnt how to upload pictures. I am running FSX Gold and VLC.
The only scenery I have installed to date is the RealNZ sceneries. Appreciate your help.
