FS 2004 scenery

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby kiwicomm » Fri May 10, 2013 9:19 am

This Q could be a bit of a fossil but can anyone advise where I can purchase a copy of NZ roads and rivers new or used for FS2004? Failing that, does anyone have any advice about how I might clean up the current Manawatu gorge road and river? Man, that's not a road I'd want to travel at the moment! Or paddle the river, for that matter! I'm a general user of FS2004, with the default scenery, Real NZ and its recommended mesh, FS Global 2008, and some freeware from flightsim.com. Is there anything else anyone might recommend in terms of scenery upgrades for FS2004 for NZ? Thx.

Anything here is worth a look. It really depends on what type of flying you do.
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

I do have the NZ roads and rivers .. you also need the mesh , I will PM/contact Christan Stock who may be able to help you out if i can send you a copy or he can- you would find today tho that FSX running on a minimum or older PC would accept what you fly with and adding VLC would adjust your mesh and landclass suitably .

Thanks Ian,
I'd really like to stick with FS 2004 for now. I'd appreciate it if you could arrange for a copy of the aforementioned software, from you or another source. Happy to pay for it. Just let me know how to contact. I live in NZ. And thanks for the other links provided above. Cheers Rick
