A couple of scenery questions...

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Aloha,

Soooo I'm looking at scenery to use with my soon to be new Skyhawk and I have two questions:

1. For what is basically VFR low level flight it looks like VLC is best. Would that be a correct assumption?

2. I would like to be able to put the odd warship in at places of my choosing. Is there a way to easily drop objects into the ocean somewhere?
2-1. Is it possible to add an NDB/DME/etc or the like to it, in case I forget where it is exactly unsure.gif

For placing of Warships you could use AIcarriers , start this little program before running FSX but before you press the 'FLY NOW' button and with the chosen warships placed in the boats folder and adding the CFG file from that warship d/load to the aicarriers CFG notepad and saving , you place any type anywhere along the coast by pressing Shift+J .... you can have the ship stationary or moving .

Cool, thanks Ian. I was thinking of setting up some maritime strike missions for multi if anyone is interested.

That's a pain! In that case we'd just have to all have the same, fixed, scenery file then right?
