Which version of Java do I need to download to work with Whisplacer?

The author writes Java JRE 5.0 needs to be installed; however, according to the Oracle Java Archive, JRE 5.0 is an "historical" release and should not be downloaded unless one is either a developer or administrator. So which Java version should I download (running Win7 64 bit)?

Just try the latest version. Mine updates all the time and I have no issues with whisplacer
