Requesting a couple of screenshots

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby ScottyB » Mon Aug 01, 2011 2:48 pm

Hi there guys,

As you may know, I am about to get a new rig so I can upgrade to FSX + VLC. But first, would any of you be kind enough to take a cople of screenies for me (with VLC):

- Lake Hawea; from about The Neck (the point where Lake Hawea and Lake Wanaka almost join) looking up to the top of the lake
- Milford Sound; from sitting on the runway ready for takeoff (looking towards the Tasman)
- Around the Mount Cook village area

I know I am asking alot, so if any of you actually do take the time to do it, it will be GREATLY appreciated

Regards
Scotty

I don't mean to hi-jack the topic, but I too would appreciate some more screens showing off VLC. cool.gif

In your current system, if you slew to where you want the shots from - and give us an idea of the direction you're pointing in (and maybe altitude) then you should be able to get a good comparison.

I'll do you a Milford one anyway winkyy.gif

That said, I think you're wasting your time laugh.gif - just get VLC - you won't regret it!

Here you go - NZMF at least ...

Fairly new re-install. No other scenery mods other than VLC (haven't even installed an airport for NZMF yet). FSX+Accel DX10 preview on, Win7x64.

A couple of mine with non-standard default textures. Believe there's a bit of GEX in there.

Mt Cook.

Sitting on 29 at Milford Sound.

Mountains in the Takitimu area.

Thanks so much Rotordude! I fish(ed) there as well, been going up to the station that rus from the neck to the main divide (Hunter Valley Station) for 18 years - abolutely THE best place in the world - and here I am saying that from 15,000km's away from home in the middle of the Canadian Rockies... icon_redface.gif
