Thought this may help with anyone who is new to the program, as i had trouble at the start too.

1. Download the AICarriers.exe package from www.flightsim.com or any other major flightsim community.

2. Extract to your desired location. E.g: Desktop or Downloads.

3. Run the exe file and install to your main FSX folder.

4. Once finished, enter FSX (if already running, restart the simulator) in the Alt. toolbar, under addons should be an option called AIships or AIcarriers.

5. Before opening this, enter your GPS, click NRST (Nearest) and then push CRSR (cursor). This will load all airports and waypoints near you into AIships/AIcarriers.

6.Now you can open AIShips/AICarriers, choose the desired ship, then in order to use waypoints, click facility waypoints in the menu and choose your waypoint from the list.

7. Look for the waypoint of which you placed your ship. it should be sitting there stationary.

8. The carriers are only active if you have Acceleration installed, this is only for the launch and trap functions to work.

9 Have fun!

Shame that you have to have Acceleration installed, otherwise I would have given it a try. Are there any carrier alternatives for those of us who do not have Acceleration?

smooth landings.

Jerry , you would find Acceleration a bonus to have , the pack is required to get the catapults and arrestor wires to work , you could always buy the Harrier/Sea Harrier smile.gif
