Looks like you get better frames with that vs the Orbx one. I get a slideshow with my Orbx YBBN no matter what aircraft I'm in. Need more RAM..... icon_twisted.gif

Yeah I really goofed when I bought YBBN [slideshow] - should've put the money towards upgrading my PC sad.gif

Thanks Connor. Looks fantastic for a freebie.
I also splashed out on ORBX YBBN and although there's no doubting its a thing of beauty, its totally unsable on my rig. Was discounted fortunately.

You may want to follow up on Anthony Lynch , plop his name into the flightsim.com search engine , plenty of great scenery addons for OZ .

Hi,

Great bit of freeware, Ant is a master as making good airport scenery, without killing your
frames rates.

ORBX YBBN was the worst thing I ever bought, dropped my usual stable 20-25 FPS
to 4-6FPS..... UNACCEPTABLE !!!

This one runs smooth as... not the detail, but hey.... flight simming isnt about walking round an airport oogling
details... is it ?

Its how it looks on short final, that matters to me.

Cheers

TonyM

Hate to say it but you are right there Tony. Really disappointed with Orbx YBBN. I wouldn't call my system totally bottom-end but I can barely get 10-15FPS even when I am a few k's out. I also get bad stutter with YMML, but not as bad as Brizzy. I love the Orbx products and have all their Aust and US scenery, but apart from their small strips, you need a pretty high-end rig to get acceptable frames.

I think I will uninstall the payware for the freeware, not often that happens! thumbup1.gif
