What we need is someone to alter NZWP and remove the static's and create an AFCAD with AI using the new RNZAF C-130 & P3 Orion there's also a nice POSKEY 757 in RNZAF colors floating about that would make a nice addition to our skies.

Kind of a GNZLAP but with a military flavor

Good idea, but with using the models like POSKY and the newly released RNZAF material, they have a larger impact on frames, and will reduce the performance of flight simulator while in the area. Designated AI aircraft are not meant to be flyable, and have relatively low resolution and quality exteriors to reduce the impact on your PC while viewing them. ;)

Agreed the models would be frame killers on some PC's but the idea is sound (I would have thought) I personally use Captain Sims B757 and C130 payware as AI with no problems, but wouldn't think everyone would have the hardware to use these models as AI

Also have the RAZBAM Skyhawks doing TNG not very realistic anymore but it does add to the atmosphere.

RNZAF AI is on the cards...

> C-130E - Henry Tomkiewicz
> B200 - Henry Tomkiewicz (Already in GNZLAP)
> B757 - AI Aardvark
> P-3K - Mike Stone
> CT4E - Mike Cronin

Does anyone have RNZAF ai traffic?

I do... it came as part of ther RAAF Ai pack that I downloaded from the Aussim site. I got the RAAF pack and with it came the RAAF Plays Host, which includes a selction from the singapore AF, USAF, RNZAF, Royal Thai Airforce and one which I cant remember... Its a real cool download and well worth it!!!!

Sounds like a cool idea, perhaps you could release it seperatly Charl- and name it the GNZMAP (Great New Zealand Military AI Project) :P

I've used Mike Stone's P-3 model for AI traffic and it doesn't like flying VFR. An aircraft that size probably wouldn't fly VFR anyway but the RNZAF does do normal touch and goes at NZWP with its large aircraft. Set it to IFR and it seems to fly okay.

Unfortunately the static aircraft can't be removed. I think there is a post in a similar vein about NZAR where a simmer tried putting in exclude files and got white static aircraft where he was hoping for a fresh parking space. NZWP is the same. Of course, if anyone can proove me wrong on this I'll be keen to know how.

Ah that would have to be NZMAP I'm afraid ;)
Actually it's almost all available, it would be nice to package it, certainly.

And Dan, NZAR has a bgl for statics you can remove.
Unfortunately the others don't.
Perhaps someone could badger Shayne and Deane to rework the source files?
These sceneries fill an important gap, even now.

The static aircraft at NZAR can be removed, by simply removing the file named...
NzarST.bgl from the main scenery folder of that scenery, whether it be Auckland 2005, or Rob Diebold's 2006 version of it to fit RealNZ Auckland City.
