That's great news, although I wouldn't expect it for at least another year yet, judging by the fact that they have quite a few "planned releases" above that listing. I'm looking forward to it, however!

All the HYPE , this time last year was New Zealand , it is good good to compare , to see how ORBX work on areas , the recent North/West demo could compare with the NZ but only in a few selected places in the South Island West Coast , now comparing the areas and build of NZ VECTOR LAND CLASS from our Tim 'Timmo' Barnes , looking at regions around both the north and the south all in one , this includes the Chatham Is , another area covered in detail is Steward Island , 'Rick' my Brother no,s this area very well , hes the 'Tarzan' Jungle Jim of my family , have him digging up photos from his trips to put the area into place , one off my fav sayings .......... WHAT! ARE YOUR EYES PAINTED ON !

I,m a nasty little fellow when it comes to flying , just recent the return from the 'Mount' , with me , it was a race to the aircraft to make sure i get the window - sometimes you get the pushy types , you would have read my travels up even from NZCH to Welly , a child had my seat - Sorry! .. i kicked him out , use your eyes to learn , he was happy as i pointed out landmarks , ........ FTX we will see

Is it just me or does this list look a bit ambitious? It took over a year for their latest texture pack and they have quite a few new texture packs planned. Plus Holger is going to work on a new Misty Fiords (unless that's one of the texture packs). Having said that, I wish them good luck.

They have close to 25 developers, of course they each will have they're own specialty (Airports, autogen, landclass etc)

I guess it really depends on how far they plan to go to make it truly NZ -- they certainly have enough urban/green textures from Australia and mountain textures from PNW to make a great NZ, so even with a mix 'n match set of textures on top of a high quality landclass would be a huge improvement.

However with Australia and the US they already had a good choice of trees, whereas in NZ there are almost none of the most common local vegetation types as autogen. I'd love to see some 'real' NZ trees, and they certainly have the skills to do that -- but it isn't a quick job, that's for sure.
