Hi all,
I'm actually looking for float bases around New Zealand. I got the Wellington and Marlborough Sounds bases, but what about the others (eg Taupo, Porirua)?
if there isn't any, what would be the best tool to create them?
Cheers

There is a basic Taupo float dock and heli-pad among the AFCADs that come with GNZLAP Redux.
Airport code for it is NZA1.
Godfrey Tier and myself are working on a full FS9 scenery for the Taupo floatplane base at the moment..........
It will be posted on my website when its finished.....
Lawrie.

What FS are you running? As Naki said, there is the Volcanic Air Safaris base on Lake Rotorua. If your running FS X there is a free download of some ground textures and the Floatplane base made by Robin. It was on avsim but I think it was on Flightsim.com. If you want to make your own, you could use GMAX or something to model the buildings.

Thank you for all your replies. After I spent a long time searching for those float bases I decided to create them myself. I bought the Fligh1 Instant Scenery, which I find very easy to use. I'll create all the pads for New Zealand. I'd be happy to publish the package, after I'm done, however I'm afraid that the coastlines are different for all of us, depending on what 3rd party sceneries we use, so it wouldn't fit properly.
Thanks again
Daniel

I've been building Lake Te Anau FBO for a while now. Hopefully should have it completed before the waterways flyin.
