Rob , PM Steve aka: Cowpatz, he converted the textures, very sure Che is outta reach of his FS PC at the moment, I do have a working New Plymouth I'm not sure what the issue or problem is.

Thanks Iain, will do. The "fixed' textures are mipmapped and .dds and there was another fix.

Thanks for helping much appreciated.

Damn! Sorry you guys, I'm not used to these new forums, clicked the "read all forum" button and didn't know it would get rid of the notifications for the Scenery forum.
Here is the repost to these links (I have NOOOO Idea why they went dead)

Crash Box Fix (Replace the .BGLs in the Scenery folder with the one in this download):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xjx5gomily9g3 ... 5.zip?dl=0

Texture Fix (Delete the .BMP files in the Texture folder and replace them with the .DDS textures in the download):

If you have any problems or questions let me know.

Hi everyone! ^_^
I was lucky enough to get help from Robin to create a multi-installers for my sceneries, which is bloody marvelous since I would have no idea how to develop an installer myself. Thanks mate! :) Anyway I thought I would repackage New Plymouth with the multi-installer to make it easier for others to install. Also another reason is that there were a few bugs which people have found. Some people experienced shimmering textures, which I now have Mip-Mapped and converted to .DDS which should fix this. Also some people found their aircraft would crash when they landed or start at NZNP. I have also fixed this and removed crash boxes from the models.

One thing I haven't done for this particular package is updated the features for P3D. Like the Ground Polygons, etc. The airport works in Steam and P3D so I thought I would leave it.

Instead of updating NZNP for P3D for now I though I would wait. I am thinking of creating a "NZNP Mark II" when the upgrades/renovations on NZNP are complete. They are doing QUITE an upgrade to NZNP; New terminal and expansion, runway extension, new carparking area, bigger apron expansion. Along with a new Jetstar terminal built earlier this year, new buildings, taxiways, refueling, aprons already done.....the list goes on! Every time I fly back into NZNP I'm like: "oh crap, they've added more stuff to the airport which I have to include!!!!"

2 years ago I started doing some Photo Real textures and Autogen for all of Taranaki which I got from LINZ. It was more of an experiment since I have never done any large photo real sceneries before, which I wanted to try out. Plus I wanted to create something nice and detailed for my home region! (It's a pet project haha) :D I might make it a full Taranaki/NZNP package, with the city (which I have a lot of buildings modeled up already) and maybe NZSD and NZHA included too. I'm not sure yet, kind of thinking out loud lol, but something I've always wanted to do for Taranaki :)

Whats does everyone think about that? I don't know when NZNP will be complete in real life so it might be a while. They said 2017 which isn't far away, does anyone here know?

Here is the download link too btw: http://www.riddlezinteractive.com/downl ... ymouth.exe If there is anything wrong with the installer let me know and I'll fix it :)

Thought I would share this with you too, I found an architectural drawing of the new terminal. I think it looks cools! Though you can still see the old terminal in it's architecture. Below are some of the planned options for the new apron, taxiway and runway extensions. Not sure the extent they will go with them, probably the conservative option for now. We'll have to wait and see!

Great steps and moves into extra photo real , I do have an old photo Mike Aka creator2003 I have worked on most all but the main city area is incomplete it has been started , I dose go quite a bit east , I'll dig up the scenery and send it thru , really would complement your New Plymouth airport scenery.

Nice job, I'll grab the update for Prepar3d.
Taranaki is certainly long overdue for some great scenery, I've been checking out the area myself lately, after seeing one of the winners in the NZIPP awards in F11 magazine. This guys just photographs the mountain -- worth having a look:
Adam Buckle

I'm sure that Prepar3d lighting could do the mountain justice these days!

Glad to see you excited about an airport upgrade, I've long-since given up even looking at these -- in the news this morning there's an announcement of a $32m development at Nelson airport, luckily these days I can just say 'hey, Cortana, hide any reference to the nelson airport upgrade. And if anyone emails about it, 'lose' the email. Cheers.'

I love his photos! They really make me really miss home, especially looking at the mountain!

Why did you give up on the upgrades? I guess making the airport twice seems counter productive. I guess for me I've come along way since creating the original NZNP that I want to upgrade NZNP with new features I've learned/created on my latest airports. Some of the areas I cringe on the original NZNP and think "why did I do that!" lol.

Different design style now, even tools today have changed and Christchurch has completely changed so much ... It needs a rebuild - would be the first is Wigram as a training scenery, again was the first and went through many changes from 98 to 2004/5, Christchurch the same that really needs a real look at, I think hook into the areas you know and you can't go wrong.

The trouble is I'm always running about five years behind on NZ airports, and most regional and bigger airports are undergoing some sort of development most of the time. Whenever a new development is announced, I start getting queries about when I'm going to update my version to match. I mentioned this some time ago on my site -- the seven year development cycle. That was a bit tongue-in-check, but it's weird to think that even though I haven't finished the 'new' Wellington yet, it is now going through yet another upgrade...

Tauranga is another case, I've done two major versions, and still haven't caught up with the new terminal.

Flightsim airports should really be named with a time-stamp -- Wellington 2013, for instance, to help people realise that this is a snapshot in time, and not a promise to supply endless upgrades...

Hey Ian I can see my house!!!!

I see what you You and Robin mean. It's one of those projects that if you want to keep it up to date you will have to work on it forever. I guess you just have to put your foot down at some point and just get it done. The year stamp is a GREAT idea.
