Palmerston North Airport NZPM

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

HHmmmm not sure why the exclude didn't take but it does now.
The other EZ sceneries you mentioned must be installed correctly as I had to install them to get around the Norfolk Island issue with doubled textures.
Can you tell me the name of the textures etc used for the terminal buildings? I may have another duplication somewhere.....maybe VOZ which uses some EZ scenery.
Thanks Lawrie
Steve

The texture names for the main terminal bulding are...........

LargeAirport.bmp
LargeAirport_lm.bmp
MediumAirport.bmp
MediumAirport_lm.bmp

from EZ Default Terminals SS by Sidney Schwartz.

It could be a texture double-up problem,....... its worth persuing.
You could already have another scenery installed somewhere that uses the same textures. I hunted down quite a few like that in mine, and found loads of unnecessary texture double ups ( i currently have 451 different addon sceneries activated).
Bear in mind that these ARE the texture names for the default FS9 terminal buildings, so you WILL already have these textures in the main FS9 Texture folder anyway. You could try removing the 4 abovenamed textures from the "Static Objects Library" texture folder, and see what happens. I have them removed from mine, and the .bgl file from the NZPM scenery finds them in the main FS9 Texture folder and displays them fine.

Lawrie.

I have tried removing the doubled textures from the static objects folder but still no joy.
I am unable to find EZ Default Terminals SS by Sidney Schwartz. I can find EZ Terminals SS. Are these one and the same Lawrie? If not can you tell me where can I find it as it does not appear on Flightsim.com?
Thanks
Steve

No, they are NOT the same. Go to Avsim.com , and go to the file library, and enter Sidney Schwartz in the search feild, or enter EZ Scenery, and choose the catagory,... FS2004 Scenery Design, and you will find what you need .....................

Seemed to do the trick with the terminal etc. Some doubling up of textures was causing some grief as well as not reading the installation file correctly sad.gif
I only have 2 issues left to resolve. The first is the piper hanger textures as in this screenie and the other is the hanger to the left behind the fuel tanks in my first screenshot and then I should be Ok.
Sorry to be a nuisance but my troubles may help others with similar issues.
Cheers

Both hangers are from the EZ Large Hangers SS object set , by Sidney Schwartz. Once again, enter the name Sidney Schwartz in the search feild at Avsim, and in the catagory FS2004 Scenery Design, and you WILL find the texture set there.
The filename is ezlrghg.zip by Sidney Schwartz..............................

Solved the problem. A couple of pesky BGL files sitting in the Kaitaia Scenery folder.
By the way that EZ Hanger file name is incorrect it should be ez-large_hangers_ss.zip.
Thanks
Steve

Filenames differ from site to site. Sometimes one particular file on Avsim will have a DIFFERENT file name on Flightsim, for the very same thing.
Depends where you download it from as to the filename, thats why i suggested SEARCHING for Sidney Schwartz on Avsim........
As a matter of interest, what were the "Pesky" bgl files you were refering to in the Kaitaia scenery ????

The files were:

ez-large hangars ss.bgl
ez-terminals ss.bgl
ez-fuel tanks ss.bgl
lens ez walls & fences vol1.bgl

The only remaining issue is a section of untextured fence mesh to the right of the Piper hangar but I can live with that.
