The "authorities" might just have been Aerosoft, who have recently released EDDF V2 for those "other" sims... and get this: the FS9 version is imminent!
Dare one live in hope for an FS9 NZAA? my life will be complete, and I speak for an ever-growing number of returnees to that sim.
