That sounds light a good idea indeed.

Thanks and kind regards, Michael

Good to see it being catered for, I guess it's just a matter of time before it is accepted as a normal part of the process.

Gee are we that obvious Rob ?....lol
I have been a staunch follower of your work since the old days, even still have your first released scenery in the original packaging.
You keep making it, I will keep buying it

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Not many updates lately, but I do appreciate the advice I've had, mainly via email, from a few of the 'regulars'. I've yet to find a workable workflow to get something nice into X-plane, but I hope to get to the stage where I can see X-plane as a 'Real NZ' destination. I've certainly come to appreciate the power of the FSX-based SDKs, compared to X-plane. Still, I'm slowly making progress, too early to make any promises...

I've been working steadily on the FSX/P3D Coromandel (with side-trips into X-plane 11) but fell for the oldest trick in the SDK -- I placed dozens of custom windsocks via SODE, only to have exactly none of them show up. Two weeks of mulling this over, and finally tracked it down to a single case-sensitive character:) Partly due to my aging eye-sight, where I can't always see the difference between an upper- and lower-case 'L'...

I was hoping to book a trip to the Coromandel with the proceeds from the March Godzone sale, but after organising a trip up north for my son's wedding this month, I don't have enough funds left. Still, something might crop up. One problem with a month-long sale is that the next month is very lean -- so if you don't already have Real NZ Dunedin or Nelson, get it before winter sets in! There won't be any more sales for a long time, but I have reduced Nelson due it's age...

How far up North is the wedding Rob? Would you have been able to have tacked on the Coromandel reconnaissance mission? How long do you think you would need there?

No, 'up north' was a bit of a private joke, since shifting to South Canterbury just about everything is up north...
My initial plan was to fly to Auckland, hire a car for 5 days and AirBNB. I blame the IRD, I've just done a 'deal' with them, which leaves me pretty skint for 6 months. (In their defence, they normally put up with a lot from me...)
I preferred the good old days, when I did Wellington, I spent more on a 15 minute helicopter flight than I budgeted for the entire Coromandel visit:)

Damn I was in Whitianga today (been there all week, back home now) could have taken some photos of the airfield there for you. :(

Hey, no worries, I don't think I'd do any area like the Coromandel without a good look around. One of the few perks of having such a rubbish job, I do get to see some nice parts of the country...

I was hoping to get there before winter sets in, hence the rush, but one of the advantages of putting it off is lower fares etc -- I could do it in 3 days, on a grabaseat, if I had to. Seems a long time since I've financed a project by selling scenery, just about everything lately is funded by contract work. There must be a solution to that...
