ORBX NZQN

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Apparent that the NZQN Payware release is still some time off...John Venema's response to my recent query is below.

As is Orbx policy we don't give release dates (I made an exception for FTX Global but that is a classic example of where we did not meet the announced date, and a good reason why we don't give dates).

NZQN is in beta testing but it's not finished development as yet. Marty still has lots of autogen annotation to complete, some models to finish around the airport and the bug reports to address from the first round of testing. Initial reports are good, performance is great and Graham Eccleston has done some amazing AI traffic work given the difficult approach paths.

The usual clue to an impending release is when Emmsie begins spamming lots of screenshots and the product page link appears on the FTX website top row.

If there's no product page link on the website you know we're still not close to release.

Quiet typical of scenery design .. Autogen tho .. that area, I could have done and completed within a couple off weeks and that's starting now , the hold up is checking and making sure details AI , all the little gimmicks to work properly and checking again , possibly maybe has something to do with the World texture build .

I'll wait for the 'home-grown' version, to go with my VLC...

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

According to their revised development roadmap, it'll come out in July! We'll have to wait till December for Auckland though...
