Bridge Pa Aerodrome (Hastings)

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby mechaneer » Wed Sep 01, 2010 10:56 am

Is there any scenery for this aero club available anywhere?

I used to do a bit of flight training there, so it would be good to have it....the default is a bit unrealistic with a single runway and control tower.

If you are using FS9 (FS2004), there is one here on my website..... http://fs-snowman.com/index.php?ind=downlo...ew&iden=176

Hi Lawrie, sorry to hijack this post but wondering where you're at with NZTI? Did some RL flying there yesterday so would be nice to practise in the Virtual one as well!!

Ok great, will look forward to it. Just out of curiosity, how come you are rebuilding NZNR? I don't really see how it could be any better....

Theres a lot of FS9 stuff in the scenery that doesnt work properly in FSX.
The FS9 trees dont display properly and need to be replaced with FSX ones, FS9 flattens and excludes dont work in FSX and need to be replaced, so that FSX default buildings arent popping up all over the airport as well as the custom buildings, the FS9 chain-link mesh fencing in various parts of the scenery wont display in FSX properly, just to name a few things. The AF2 Afcad needs to be converted to AFX for FSX.
Some of the boundary fences need to be shifted to better fit the FSX location as well.
The FSX version of the scenery is coming along quite nicely, and is about 85% complete. I keep getting sidetracked with other NZ airports in FSX.
The first ones out from me for FSX will be some Far North airports, NZKK Bay of Islands Airport (Kerikeri) will be the first, and is about 98% complete, closely followed by NZWR Whangarei, then NZKT Kaitaia. These three are not conversions to FSX of my old FS9 sceneries, they are full ground up rebuilds from scratch.

Funny you should mention NZTI Jase,................ ive just finished looking at it in FSX, and thinking about building it for X.
I havnt got much further with the FS9 version, having been well and truly distrcted by scenery building in FSX, but i'll get there.
Got a lot of NZ ones under construction for FSX, and even done a few FS9 to FSX conversions for myself of other peoples NZ sceneries.
Just finished converting Robins NZKI Kaikoura to FSX last night,......... looks pretty good in X. It will do me until Robin finishes the dedicated FSX version he is working on.
