Hello everyone!
I don't know if you folks over here have seen the new FSX Water Configurator, but here it is. This little water enhancement program gives you control of how your water looks in FSX and it works great.
I wanted to share this with you if you hadn't already found it: FS Water Configurator

Graphic X are themes pre made this addon is more a design theme tool from the looks of it ,and if i didnt have FEX already installed i would have used this one to design my water colors and so on ,,i dont think you can loss with a addon like this if you are into sitting down and design the right colors/effects /reflections/ for your own water textures in FSX ,this if it works well could end up saving flps and giving better looking sim ?

Yeah, REX is going to be quite awesome.
The thing that is pretty cool about the FS water configurator is that you can change you water on the fly. Just open FSWC and make your changes while FSX is running, then close FSWC.
Yes, it is completely free. Not shareware. He has a spot for donations if you like the program enough to drop some change.

The only thing I will say about all these water add-ons for FSX is that none seem to show adequate enough screenshots of water edges to see whether or not they have fixed FSX's biggest water problem - edges. It breaks my heart to see these amazing FSX screenshots, then to see water that looks like an 8 year-old has cut out a scene of the open ocean and pasted it over top of all existing water. There's never a gradual change in the texture as the depth gets shallower. It's just 'water' and it all looks the same, according to MS.

The concerning thing about these two is that on their websites, neither of the galleries show much water around the shoreline... so I wonder if they've even addressed the problem or if it's an inherent FSX thing?

If I were an FSX user, that would be what it would need for me to spend any $$$ on a water upgrade package.

I think REX will fix these problems you mention Greaneyr. At least for coral anyway.

It's not out yet, but looks great so far.
