yeah i had that ,but i reinstalled my topo and fixed those coast lines in your screen pic etc..dont know if its still there as havent been back but it was there before i placed the rangainui,
are all your simming problems coming from my scenerys only ??
in the pick above you have your topo installed wrong as its showing the coast lines ,you mite need to take a look around the forums and workout reinstall some scenerys properly
also remove the rangainui zip and test that area again too see if it changes that clif

Hi Mike
No, its not your scenery, I think its more how I have things set up thats causing the problems.
I have download most of New Zealand scenery thats available from ARNZ, Savern Reweti site and flightsim.com.
Here is how I have my scenery set up

Perhaps it has something to do with your 'terrain_max_vertex' setting in the aircraft.cfg

Try setting it to 19,20 then 21 and see if it makes any difference.

Thanks guys
I have set my'terrain_max_vertex' to 21 to get the 20m mesh to show up,

Should topo/mesh be lower than all other scenery in the folder

Cheers

Thanks Mike
So should all downloaded scenery be lower than the default fs9 scenery
so that mesh/topo are right down the bottom

Cheers

Thanks Mike
Done that, fixed the coast lines ok but the weird cliff is still there.
I also need to fix the double images I am getting when a perform a left or right turn, also happens when panning around in the virtual cockpit when I face certain directions.
I thing its a driver issue, I have been given a 19 inch viewsonic monitor,up until three days ago I have been using a 15inch and the problem happened with the 15 inch as well

One thing I noticed, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but you still have Lakes Fix installed with the NZ Topo? I think you don't need to have the Lakes Fix installed if you have Topo. There might be a conflict there.

Worth a shot. Just disable the Lakes Fix. And then let us know.

"yup the lower down the list is the higher prority"

errrr???? Logic suggests that the higher up the list/smaller the priority number the higher the priority. I.e. A priority 1 scenery at the top of the list will cover other scenery further down the list (with higher priority numbers (ie. Lower priorities)

Logic would dictate, Timmo, but I've found that it's not always the case in FS2004 or FSX. It has come to light that, for Mesh and LC, the lower down the list, the higher the mesh and LC priority. Also, I had loaded the Subic Bay scenery and had texture problems. It wasn't until I moved it way down my scenery list that the textures showed up. Go figure.

Thanks Guys
I thought that 1 was higher priority but now I know ,so thanks for the heads up.
I will un-install the lake fix and see if that changes things. Next thing on the list is sort out the drivers :o
The strange land formation seems to be connected to the mesh scenery. Just uninstalled the 20m mesh and its gone.

cheers
