Do these rotate to face you?
If so you need to set the rotation to zero in EZScenery, otherwise they'll always face the other way.

yes the default trees from the librarys normal rotate but some just dont show at all but im guessing that is what is happening,,

if i knew how to make my own trees transparent this problem of using default would be no longer ,as i wouldnt use them ,like i said above ive got about 100 of these trees above and would like to make a new tree library setup for ezy and other designers but the transparent textures really do stump me ive tryed all different ways to make them work but are alway showing up the white backing even though i set the background as transparent and made them dx3 ,,i know im missing something there ,
as for the ez library tree placement ill check the rotation on them its like every second tree in the library doesnt show up",weird "i thought it mite be a seasonal tree or something and will only show on a time of the year ?? but that doesnt really work for me as the are objects not agns
,i think this will be solved knowing transparent texture making in the end ...

well after asking me uncle i was told to make the transparent texture i have to do PNG instead as a 24bmp or 32 is this the same for fs9 ?\?? to make these fences and trees ?
mike
ps oh how do i set the rotation or is it just better two set two faces crossed for the trees ...etc ..

Yeah, I use TGA format, which supports alpha and can be dropped directly into ImageTool for conversion.
To rotate to user, I use MDL Tweaker from SceneryDesign.org.

thanks again Robin  >nzflag<
ps...edit: now ive got the above stuff pretty much working ,im in the mdl tweaker and are choising rotate to user saving as a tweaked file and they making a library grabing the bgl then the tweak mdl and complining for ez-scen they show up look really good but still no rotation ,now i know its got something to do with the tweaked mdl file but what /how /do i do now ???
its all working bar that rotation ....
mike

well after not being able to work out the mdl tweaker,i spent all yesterday trying to work it all out and making up textures for trees ,now because i couldnt rotated them i had to make them with the crosshairs look "really ugly"and textures just look crap ,as seen below
user posted image
now ive spent alot of time on this and everything has gone to crap ,so im asking plz can anyone tell me the step 1 by one to get the object tweaked mdl file to work ,
step 1 make the model "single sided face " with texture
step 2 open tweaker mdl and open the model file /add condtion/like this below
user posted image
then save the file out as ,,tweaked_******mdl ???
then complie them like normal with the library editor in ezy,etc... etc...
now the models dont rotate at all ,,they show up but no rotation ,my problems are quite **** and after making the trees the way above that im not that happy with plz can you help ,
its all to do with the mdl tweaker ....and rotation with user part

I've just done a quick check, because I've only used a previous version of MDL Tweaker, but this one works fine.

From memory, you need to rotate the object in GMAX so that it faces away from the front view. This is weird, but necessary.
When you place the object in EZScenery, it won't work properly until you restart the sim.

EDIT: do you press the 'apply to object' button before saving?

ah ok im using fsdsv3 and ill give that rotation thing the face away ago inside that ,
yes to apply im doing that ..
im just wondering if the mdl file name is having this effect ,im not naming it the same as the original ,its saving as *******_tweaked.mdl and not overwriting ,
there are animation options in fsds but they are settings in timelines etc... and mdltweaker looks the best way to go ..
ill give acouple more of these ideas i go and see if i can work it out
cheers
