Hi all
Nice new forum (can smell the paint and new carpets) I have NZCH nzch04v2-1 and NZWN nzwn04v1 both have building crashes at start up and NZWN runway ILS is offset 30ft to the east These are great sceneries with small problems will they ever be fixed.

Welcome to our world ;)

The Scenery you speak of are the work of Ian Warren and you will find this problem aswell with the NZNS scenery as well. There was a answer for this problem from Robin Corn when I find it I will point you to it unless Robin answers first ;)

Believe it has something to do with the Gmax buildings used and that you should remember this scenery was originally designed for FS2002, and wth the impending release of FSX I would doubt that there will be a Rush by Authors to fix problems that have not already been sorted.

The ILS problem at NZWN has been fixed head over to the windowlight Forum at Avsim and use the search feature for past answers.

Welcome PVE.

Try turning off "detect crashes" in the realisum options to get rid of that problem at the airport, then during flight turn it back on for landing?

As for the ILS probelm, I had that too but thought it was an error with the downloaded plane I was using.

Howdy PVE,

Problem is the design tool used to create the structures. Think Ian used EOD (or maybe it was Abacus' FSD programme) and he forgot to turn off the "crash radius" surrounding particular structures (know there was never a problem over at the Canterbury Aero Club). Unfortunately, this is not a simple thing to fix without de-constructing various components and re-asembling them again with the crash radius turned off.

If your rig can handle it, a much better (GMax) NZCH can be had from the NZ Scenery team. Comes either as a stand-alone scenery (approx. 49 Mb.) or as a part of their photo-real Christchurch (approx. 200 Mb.).
