The official Forum for the GNZLAP and Charl's other NZ AI addons

Postby Charl » Thu Nov 16, 2006 6:26 pm

The GNZLAP Pack 4 is nearing final assembly.
It will contain a mass of adjustments, tweaks, fixes and coverups :wub: which overwrite previous versions.
If you have any comments about your experience with GNZLAP, let's hear it now, it's your last chance.
There is only one rule:
Constructive comments only!
No exceptions, this means Good Comments are fine (of course!) and Bad Comments should be about stuff that can be fixed in the last release.

I will close this thread off on 24th November and work through what's been said (if anything!)
The NZFF spirit flickers on!

I give my sincerest thanks to you and your team of unsung heroes who really renewed my FS experience in NZ and I anxiously await pack 4. And Lawrie with the Retro Project put the icing on the cake. Was more than happy to buy the HTAI Cessna's for this excellent project. If you had packaged it and sold it as payware I would have paid gladly.
If the forum does end and I hope it doesn't,I'm glad to have met and corresponded with the excellent talent in this country. You all know who you are and I know how to contact you if needed. :thumbup:

Yeah it's not over.
In one form or another, we will meet, now we know about each other.
That's the best thing about NZFF I reckon, and can't be taken from us.

I'm glad you raised the point about the GNZLAP being a group effort.
I front for it because I publish it.
It wasn't even my idea really, I think Robin Corn takes the credit for picking up on Steve Jenks' HTAI repaints.
And there's an awful lot of other talent which has given the thing life.
Can I say something here?
I also think it's a great project!

Charl, what you have provided us with is unlike anything we have seen before.

I was impressed when I first got fs2004, and could fly real planes anywhere in the world.

I was even more impressed when I discovered AVsim, and found I could add to my collection of planes, with real airline repaints.

When I found out about photoreal scenery, I was over the moon. Being able to fly a real plane over a real place was certainly was as real as it could get...

...untill the GNZLAP arrived. Being able to see other real light aircraft flying along side me managed to recreate the busy general aviation 'atmosphere' that you find down at your local airport. No addon has ever done this before. I thank you and will always support your work Charl- you and your team certainly are pioneers of NZ flight simulation :bow:

Hi I've noticed what appears to be a Cessna twin at NZDN which doesn't have any textures, i'll post a screenshot when i'm back home as well as the time it appears in DUD......otherwise everything is more than hunkydory! Can't wait for the South Island installment!!! :)

It's STV alright, I can't replicate your problem.
Maybe someone else has the same issue?

EDIT:
Here's part of the aircraft.cfg in the AI Cessna 421C aircraft folder
[fltsim.3]
title=AI Cessna 421C Ard ZK-STV
sim=AI Cessna 421C
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=ZK-STV
kb_checklists=
ui_manufacturer=Cessna
ui_type=421C
ui_variation="ZK-STV"
atc_heavy=0
atc_id=STV
atc_airline=
atc_flight_number=
atc_parking_codes=
atc_parking_types=GATE
description=AI Cessna 402B by Henry Tomkiewicz

and make sure you have a texture folder there for ZK-STV
