Hi Charl, just wondering how it's going and could you please give some indication of when our next fix might be released?
From another GNZLAP junkie.

The observant would have noticed the releases prior:
8 August
8 September
8 October
We're headed down south for the next one...

Ah yes so it is, I would have noticed had I been with it from the start, I was a late comer having the HTAI Cessna's about 1 month now,
The 8th suits me just fine as it's when I get my next data allowance from ihug,55gig so far this month! still 64k is not so bad, the main thing is I'm not tieing up the phone!
Thanks for giving me something to look foward to,
Regards, Codge

...but there is so much stuff to do down there I reckon we should delay it for Peter Lohr's NZMF!

It'll be after the students have finished exams, but before New Year.
End of the year is a busy time, hate to let work interfere with play, however Christmas comes but once a year!
Still it'll be worth waiting for I hope:
Some choppers flying the Alps, Islanders touring the south, and even a Pitts doing Queenstown flips.
It'll all come together...

That sounds great- I can't wait for exams to be over already!

Will this be the very final installment of GNZLAP?

Yes we've covered most of NZ with about 10% of the real fleet numbers, which seems to give the needed AI presence without overloading computing resources.
For the number-minded, here's how the fleet is made up, proportioned by region:

user posted image

The blue is the RL fleet, and where they are found in NZ.
The yellow is what the GNZLAP has put into each region.
We are topping up Zone 5 to match with the real world situation i.e. 20% of the fleet total, and then we'll be ready to wrap it up.

EDIT: To answer the questions above and below:
Yes the next pack will release all of the rest of the South Island, plus some bits and pieces that got left behind in previous releases.

Is the next pack going to contain zone 4, 5 and 6? or are those still to come in separate releases?? :)

That is excellent news Charl that we will get zone 4,5,6 all at once. But when? please don't make us wait for Peter Lohr if you have it all ready to go, we could always sort Milford later for that couldn't we? (Excited child that can't wait for Sata Claus!)

Good news Charl. Will definately look forward to the final release. Will be good to see some REAL NZ light AI buzzing around the South Island among my old Retro bigger iron............. Its just not the same without all those Cessnas etc buzzing around the place...........................
