Nice job on the Hawker, looks like a sweetly detailed AI model. As you say Charl, no model for the Global Express, altho I think I did find a pic of it here for sale, may only be a representative photo tho, no rego marks on the aircraft.

So hows about we knock up a package now and incorporate the GlobalExpress in it at a future date?

I'll IM you my email address and if you could zip up your textures and fire them to me I'll test all the aircraft together against the flightplans Nunner has created and sent me.

I was wondering if we shouldnt make up some three-letter airline/parking codes (as per your post over here) for the aircraft.cfg files so people can place them in AFCAD files, we've already got one for Air National but how about something like these for the rest?

AAC - Auckland Air Charter
AAL - Acernus Aero Limited
LOW - Lowe Corp
NBR - National Business Review
NET - Network Jets
PAJ - Pacific Jets
RNK - Rank

The other thing is do we distribute the models with the textures, some like the Dee Waldron ones are free to distribute, or do youz think its easier just to provide filenames and let folks hunt them down for themselves?

Deane,
Try this link for N57LE not dated so i dont know if its the correct colours as I've not seen it live.

http://flightaware.com/photos/view/photo/8...irport=KMEM;o=2

Also re the parking codes I use four letter codes too that have always worked well for me,sometimes you find the three
letter codes clash with some airline codes?

Have tried downloading the 45MG Ultimate-GA Gulfstream-IV package a few times now and it's always incomplete or corrupt so I couldnt get the texture for ZK-KFB, it also seems a little unfair for someone to have to download a big ZIP like that when they may only want one texture, so I've repainted ZK-KFB for our project:

Am assembling a beta test package tonite, will email out to interested parties before unleashing the beast at AVSIM

The project file has been uploaded to AVSim and is now available for download
Filename: nzai-bizjets-v1.zip

Special thanx to Charl, Nunner and PiperDriver for their input into the project.
Feel free to post suggestions here for future changes, flightplans, and especially
if you hear of any other new Bizjets basing themselves in NZ over time.

Enjoy thumbup1.gif

ps - make sure you compile the flight-plans w TTools rather than just copying
the .bgl file in the ZIP coz I forgot to recompile it after some last minute tweaks
to the plan

pps - crikey, its been up for less than a day, not even linked off their homepage
yet and already 220 downloads, bless AVSim and their bandwidth

Sound like the real-world N2243W (Lowe Corp Cessna 510 Citation Mustang) made it onto the news today flying Shrek the Sheep from Auckland down to the South Island to retire at Bendigo station. Sounds like a nice addition to the flight-plan for the aircraft Nunner winkyy.gif

Keep an eye on the TV news tonight, bound to be there somewhere. You can listen to the story at RadioNZ

Time to update that texture I guess winkyy.gif

From the MRC-Aviation blog last week it looks like another BizJet is to be based here in NZ...

QUOTE
Citation 680 Sovereign N121TL was delivered to Auckland this afternoon, arriving from Maui via a techstop at Pago Pago. The aircraft will be based out of Auckland.
BTW, have recently uploaded the BizJets package to flightsim.com (filename: nzai-bizjets-v1.zip), avsim havent reinstated write access yet so will probably end up adding the two outstanding repaints to flightsim.com

Indeed, you'll find that KFB, RML and RGB all sport the same paint scheme. which isn't a coincidence...

RGB is a G200 however was a derivative of the IAI Galaxy. If you repaint a Galaxy, you'll have the next best thing without having to fork out the $25M US...

Yep.. that is RML at FL330, halfway across the Tasman.. and no.. that wasn't done in Flight Sim.. ;-)

More changes to the business jet population (amazingly it keeps growing even with the recession):

Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign has just arrived and is based in Auckland ..registration is N121TL (Edit: whoops didnt see your post above Deeknow)

Another Cessna Mustang has arrived registered ZK-PGA based in Auckland

Hawker 800XP N805M has left the country

and Peter Jackson has a Gulfsteam 550 on order to replace the Gulfstream IV (fairly firm rumour)

Mike Condon posted the following blog entry recently listing the current NZ based BJ fleet, and a mention/pic of ZK-JTH (aka N121TL)...

One Cessna departs, another arrives. Wellington's Acernus Citation 510 Mustang nee ZK-MUS (re-registered as ZK-MOT) has left NZ for new owners in the USA, and they are soon to receive its replacement ZK-MUS/2, a brand new Citation 510, which is on its way to NZ now. Thought I better make a note here so I/we dont forget to update these repaints laugh.gif See...

Hey Naki. Yeah the GIV has gone I believe, replace by the new G5 with the same registration.
I see on Mike Condons blog today that there's a new G200 ZK-VGL which has just arrived, possibly to be based out of Hamilton:

ExecuJet Aviation Group awarded New Zealand AOC

QUOTE
The ExecuJet Aviation Group has been issued with a New Zealand Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority, paving the way for the company to commence base aircraft operations in the country. The first to be managed in the region is a Gulfstream G550, privately owned, which will be available for third party charter effective immediately.
