FSX reinstall

A forum specifically to discuss the latest and greatest of all flight simulators

Hi,

The main reason I am thinking of reinstalling my FSX is that it is running like a slug on start up. I think I may have also stuffed up my water textures and some land textures after I installed FScene4X. I copied my back up files back across but I don't think this worked properly.

Basically I think maybe I have just overloaded my system with add ons I don't need.

Just wondering if it's as simple as uninstalling Acceleration and FSX and then reinstalling and adding the add ons I want to use back on?

Going to keep most of my add on aircraft and the textures I added to default aircraft, so was thinking of making a back up of my SimObjects/Aircraft folder and copying this back once I have finished the reinstall. Would also keep my World of Ai files etc.

Are there any other files I should do this with?

Would much appreciate any advice from folks in the know.

Cheers

Hi Folks

BigBird -
Ensure you back up your Logbook & Granted rewards files.

Excellent! Thanks BASys. I wouldn't have thought of backing up those files. thumbup1.gif
