With the BLUE , GOLD , GREEN and YMML I guess ORBX is a little closer to give the FTX treatment to New Zealand cool.gif

Well off I go in my trusty Connie real world weather and maximum detail , full autogen ....

Departing Cairns , the tin roofs weathered and baked

look at the foliage , FSX autogen , really the tropics smile.gif

a few pass,s over the city area before heading out to Norfolk and Lord Howe Island

Out across the Great Barrier Reef

coming onto Norfolk to the left , seems i have a little problem - a clash with mesh maybe ?

heading past down/across to Lord Howe

more airfield here than Island biggrin.gif

no were have i seen this before

so little seen better head home

I see its time to buy the FSsky addon to create the real tropical effect

feet dry , ill try another aircraft type , as yet no frame rate issues , to Darwin

typical of this area ... the Mossie,s cool.gif

Great series Ian, looks like OZ will be a place to spend a bit of quality time.
If they do indeed do NZ...well now...

Yup 20fps all the way! Very smooth..... winkyy.gif

Looks like another visually stunning package. I only have Blue but its really nice to look at. Its a dog in the big cities though, with the graphics settings I desire. But very fun in the bush.

Looks like you have your texture resolution down quite a bit, either that or your texture radius (forget the exact name) as the ground at a distance is very blurred. It should be very sharp and almost life like with FTX (15cm texture resolution I think - 7cm on roads).

It's an impressive product for sure. Really gives a good idea of what Oz looks like from "up there".
