Where are the AF2.bgl files stored in FSX??...they are not in the Addon Scenery/Scenery folder as in FS9.....and is there a software package similar to Ttools used in FS9 available for customising airfields in FSX??

Hello Bob , they kept in the FSX/Scenery/World/Scenery folder
Edit , I have just reinstalled FSX again .. this time I created a folder PROGRAM FILES 1 .. and only anything FSX go's into it , with the amount of addons i had and porting across for FS9 caused me to reinstall now so many times , it seems to be running independent or better .. but i wont no till i fill it up again .

Sorry

Bob , should have mention - you cant use FS9 Afcads in X , they need seperate FSX AF2's , for NZ , ARNZX be the best window and to direct you the entire collection .. myself would just search Avism or Flightsim.com librairy,s

There are a couple of freeware programs avaliable to replace AFCAD
One is called FSXPlanner (which I use)- Go to FSdeveloper.com and have a look on the forums for the download link or google search 'FSXPlanner Zblue' and you should find it.
The other is called ADE (Airport Design Editor)- I havent used this but, as well as the basic airport editing functions, I believe it does a few other things- Have a look on FsDeveloper as well.
Both of these can open/decompile XML based BGL files include the default ones. This allows you to start with the default airport and edit it as opposed to starting from scratch
