I suppose you could always use the default Ac but in all respected you should press shift Z and you now see your airspeed in red writing above ,this is the best way to work it all out to me ,if you are over 70-100 depends on what Ac you are flying you will always know what speed you are going before you fall outta the sky ,,heavys are different but if this happens alot you will known what speed this happens to you at ,,landing 737-767 you should be at a landing speed of about 140 -160 ,747s about 160 -180 better at 180 for me ,small ac well it depends but anything around 70 should be sweet unless you have worked it out better with the Ac you are useing

there is a topic around here somewhere that has that info i think Greyier is the guy to answer that question ,sorry mate if i spelt your name wrong im on dial up and really wont waste time checking for now but will sort all the spelling mistakes out when im back in NZ

The best program for avoiding stalls is your eyes and your brain: If you are unintentionally stalling, then I say (in the nicest way possible) "learn how to fly better"....maintain good scans both of the outside which will indicate conditions for stalling (i.e. nose high, steep turns/High Angle of attack) and inside (low airspeed, low power settings).
You do say that you notice your speed most of the time so you are on the right track: Just keep practicing and youll find crashing to a firey death is a thing of the past haha
For the most part, an approach to land should be pretty stable: Turns should be rate 1 and you should be pretty well lined up on finals before 200-300 ft.
The issue with ATC is 'caused' by the airport data file- ATC doesnt really know the difference between a grass runway and seal: Depending on the airport, it may be possible to find an updated file (often called an AFCAD) which has closed the grass runway to stop AI traffic using it.

Yeah guess so, it usually doesn't occur, but when theres heavy winds etc i completely lose track of the speed, wouldn't be good in real life lol.
